Due to the ongoing wildfire situation in the Wood Buffalo Municipality the Local 488 Fort Mcmurray office will not be open, Local 488 Agents will be available at our Edmonton office and by phone.

Attention All Members

We have had reports lately of members having issues contacting Telus Health (Formerly Lifeworks/Morneau Shepell) for EFAP/support services and the members have been turned away and  advised that Local 488 has no access to benefits.

In order for the call taker / intake worker at Telus Health to positively identify Local 488 members coverage,  the individual must clearly identify that they are UA Local 488 and also identify the connection to the UA Canada Wellness Program.

Please ensure that you are also calling the correct number 1-833-778-2627.

Please note that “Plumbers and Pipefitters Local 488” will not work and you will be turned away.

The Supplementary Fund Trustees want to highlight YOU and your achievements in our upcoming June Pipeline newsletter. If you or your child have benefited from our Education Bursaries and successfully completed post-secondary education, we want to feature your story!

Submit a brief bio along with details such as years of service, the program completed, a photo of you and your child, and how the Local 488 Supplementary Fund bursary has impacted your journey.
