Please see the below message from the Local 488 Election Committee.
Thank you to all who accepted a nomination to the Local 488 Election Comittee at the January 18th meeting.
As a reminder, the intention of the Election Committee was to hold an electronic vote for our 2025 committee however, upon further review of the candidates by the Election Committee, it was determined that two (2) of the candidates are on another Committee and one (1) candidate is an employee of a Local 488 affiliate.
The following will form the Election Committee by acclamation:
Rod Boisvert
George Montgomery
Chris Oele
Russ Puchala
James Tworek
Thank you to all who volunteered for this position, congratulations to our new Committee and thank you to our previous committee members for the time and effort they put in during their tenure.

Demand for skilled trades is evident everywhere you look. With retirements on the rise, the need to fill these gaps is essential. There is still plenty of work to be done developing the resources of Northern Alberta, and our members will continue to shape this province’s major construction projects, and their ongoing maintenance, for years to come.
