A reminder from the 488 Election Committee

Ballots will be picked up from the post office at 9 am on Tuesday December 16th, 2025 by the Local 488 Election Committee.

Please ensure you have returned your ballot via Canada Post with enough time for it to be received prior to the 16th deadline at the pick up location.

NO BALLOTS WILL BE ACCEPTED AFTER 9 AM ON DECEMBER 16TH.

NO BALLOTS MAY BE DELIVERED DIRECTLY TO THE LOCAL 488 OFFICE

✨ We’re excited to share that the 7th Annual Christmas Lights for Larry display is now underway! ✨🎄

From November 28th to January 4th, you and your families are invited to stop by between 6–10pm at 4220 124 Avenue, Edmonton to enjoy the festive lights and support a great cause in partnership with the Veterans Association.

🎅🤶 Come out, enjoy the holiday spirit, and show your support! 🌟

For our members living in the Fort McMurray region, there will be a holiday gift pick-up for your children.

📍 Pick-Up Location: FMM Office, 9703A Franklin Ave
📅 Dates & Times:

• December 16 – 18: 8:00 AM – 12:00 PM and 1:00 PM – 4:00 PM
• December 19: 8:00 AM – 12:00 PM

You must register to receive a gift:

Celebrate the holidays with us at our much-loved Children’s Christmas Party! There will be entertainment, treats, and of course, a visit from Santa 🎅

📅 Date: Sunday, December 14th
🕒 Time: 11 AM – 4 PM
📍 Location: Edmonton EXPO Centre (Northlands), 7515 118 Ave NW

Important Details:

• Registration deadline: November 15th.
• Open to immediate family members only (no grandchildren).
• Children 12 & under will receive gifts; the whole family is welcome to attend.
• Please register each family member attending individually (include name and age).
• Spouses must also be registered.
• A $25 no-show fee will be charged if you register but do not attend without prior cancellation.

Ballots will be collected from the Post Office on December 16, 2025 and will be counted on December 16-19. Results will be posted on the Local 488 website by December 19, 2025.
