The Quality Control Council of Canada (QCC) is now accepting applications for the 2026 Lance Yearley Scholarship, with awards of up to $2,500 available.
A dependent child of a QCC member in good standing
Graduating high school in 2026
Entering their first year of a diploma or degree program at an accredited post-secondary institution in Fall 2026

The Alberta Pipe Trades College is offering the EPRI Rigging Certification Course from June 8-12, 2026, at the Local 488 Training Centre in Edmonton. Designed for experienced UA journeypersons, this advanced course provides specialized training in safe rigging practices and the skills required to work as certified rigging specialists.
Participants will gain a deeper understanding of industry best practices, safety requirements, and the complexities involved in rigging operations within industrial environments. A strong rigging background and a minimum of 3-5 years of related experience are required.
