If you have a registered email address with Local Union 488 you will be sent an e-ballot ONLY.
You will not be given the opportunity to request a mailed ballot as was mentioned on page 18 of the Winter 2023 Pipeline Newsletter, affording you the opportunity of receiving 2 ballots.

The Alberta Pipe Trades College is offering the EPRI Rigging Certification Course from June 8-12, 2026, at the Local 488 Training Centre in Edmonton. Designed for experienced UA journeypersons, this advanced course provides specialized training in safe rigging practices and the skills required to work as certified rigging specialists.
Participants will gain a deeper understanding of industry best practices, safety requirements, and the complexities involved in rigging operations within industrial environments. A strong rigging background and a minimum of 3-5 years of related experience are required.

On March 14, 2026, voting will take place in person at the Local Union 488 Dispatch Hall between the hours of 9:00 a.m. and 2:00 p.m. The ballots will be counted on Monday, March 16, 2026, and the results will be posted on the Local Union 488 website (local488.ca) by end of day Tuesday, March 17, 2026
