Local 488 attends Skills in the Heartland-Skilled Trades Career Expo
Our business development team along with Alanna Marklund from UA Canada, Jason Hooper-welding examiner, as well as our RAP graduate-19 year old Journeyman B pressure welder Josh Lefebvre (!!) representing UA Local 488 at the Skills in the Heartland event this week at the DOW Center in Fort Saskatchewan. This was a great opportunity to showcase and promote the skilled trades to over 500 students from surrounding schools! Students were given a chance to try out our state-of-the-art virtual welding simulators and find out more about what the UA can offer for rewarding careers in the trades!
Local 488 Management and staff extend our sincere condolence and support to the family, friends and Union Brothers and Sisters of Constables Travis Jordan and Brett Ryan. This is a tragic loss of life, let us honor their memory by supporting each other during this difficult time.
Rest in peace and may the family find strength and comfort in the memories shared with their loved one.
