UA Local 488 members can go to the ACSA website @ www.youracsa.ca to take the course. If anyone has any problem getting on the program, completing the program or printing tickets, please contact ACSA directly and they will be able to help you.
Attention Members: *Important Notice* – Letter Of Understanding – Please see attached notice from Brett Mackenzie – Executive Director of the GPMC/NMC in regards to rolling over of language regarding breaks for long term maintenance. Effective January 1, 2021 there will be a twelve (12) month extension to the ten (10) hour day, two half hour (2- ½ ) breaks, one paid and one unpaid as well as an extension to allow for staggered start times. All particulars may be found in the attached Letters of Understanding.
*** Help Stop Michigan from closing Enbridge Line 5 Pipeline ***
Michigan Governor Gretchen Whitmer is trying to close the Enbridge Line 5 Pipeline. This action will cost thousands of jobs on both sides of the border and cripple the economy in the Sarnia, Ontario area. The closure directly affects the lives of many UA members who will lose their means of income.
We want the Federal and Provincial governments to take an active role, on behalf of the residents of Ontario and more broadly Canada, and aggressively fight on behalf of all Canadians to keep this pipeline operating.
