The Alberta Pipe Trades College (APTC) is currently seeking applications for the position of Shop Technician.
This full-time position supports the daily operation of the college’s classrooms, shops, shipping and receiving, purchasing, and facility organization. We are looking for a self-motivated, highly organized individual with strong problem-solving abilities and the ability to work independently.
Red Seal Journeyperson certification is required, with preference given to candidates holding multiple Red Seal certifications.

The Alberta Pipe Trades College (APTC) is pleased to announce that registration for the 2026–2027 apprenticeship training year will open next week for Alberta registered apprentices.
APTC proudly delivers industry-leading apprenticeship training for Plumbing, Steamfitting/Pipefitting, Welding, and 1st Year Common programs at our Edmonton training facility. Our programs are taught by experienced journeyperson instructors in a hands-on learning environment focused on developing the next generation of skilled tradespeople.
All apprenticeship classes filled very quickly during the previous registration cycle. Apprentices are strongly encouraged to register as early as possible, as many classes are expected to reach capacity shortly after registration opens.
