Last week, UA Canada National Manager of Youth, Diversity and Indigenous Relations- Alanna Marklund, alongside UA Local 488 Brother Chris Lavers, visited Leduc Composite High School to educate their Fabrication 20 students about the piping trades and our union. A huge thank you to both Alanna and Chris for showing the value of the UA, and the opportunities within the piping trades to these students!
We’re looking for 20 players to join our team for the Make-A-Wish Grand Slam Slo-Pitch Tournament on August 16-17! This is a family-friendly, fun-first event—so while we’ll be swinging for the fences, the real goal is to make wishes come true! ✨
To play, each team member must commit to a fundraising goal of $500 to help us reach the $5,000 sponsorship needed to participate. (Please note, no player will be asked to make up the difference if they do not reach their goal.) Fundraising is required—a lack of commitment could result in your spot being given to the next eligible player.
