This course provides students with introductory technical information to safely and correctly operate, troubleshoot and maintain controlled bolting equipment.
Each student will:
• Review bolting standards and procedures
• Evaluate controlled bolting requirements & select the appropriate equipment
• Demonstrate correct equipment utilization (Manual, pneumatic & hydraulic torque wrenches, Hydraulic tensioning equipment and Nutsplitters).
Training will include theory, practical experiences and student assignments. (16 hours classroom, 24 hours shop activities)
PPE Requirement: CSA boots, gloves, safetyglasses, a long sleeve shirt and no loose clothing.
Monday – Friday
8:00 am – 4:00 pm.
CERTIFICATION: On successful completion, each student will be issued a NAUSC certificate.

PRE-REQUISITES: Must be a minimum first period registered apprentice and a minimum of three (3) students are required for this course.
