UA National Wellness Program- Maternity and Parental Assistance Program

As a UA Canada member, you have access to Togetherall, an online per support community that gives you an opportunity to reach out for support, without anyone ever knowing it was you. This community is completely anonymous and built on the foundation, that when people are able remain anonymous, they are much more likely to reach out for help.

By signing up and creating an account you can interact with thousands of people across the world that might be going through a situation like yours. Similar to a Facebook or Reddit group, you can find people who are there to support you, or you also have the ability to share your experiences to help others get through a rough patch, all while remaining completely anonymous.

We encourage you and your family to sign up and create an account. It is incredible to see there are others out there that may be facing similar challenges as you–it really helps us see we truly are not alone, and there is always someone there to listen and understand. Rest assured, no one will know you have used the program unless you choose to tell them.

“I found it almost impossible to discuss my mental health, and I was a bit frightened of disclosing it to my friends. Being able to talk online to other people about that was really, really useful. Otherwise, I would have kept it all bottled up.”

What does it cost?

Nothing additional! This program is included through the UA Canada National Wellness Program for you and your family to utilize.

Who can use it?

Anyone in your family is able and encouraged to use the services available. Your spouse, child or family member does not need your permission or access to use it. They can create their own account through the UA Canada portal. Ensure your family knows they have access to this program should they need to use it.

Is it confidential?

Absolutely–Togetherall’s main focus is to highlight anonymity–as they believe more people are likely to reach out if they are anonymous. When you register, you do have to put in some information like your email address, name and phone number, but this remains with Togetherall and is never shared with UA Canada or the Local Union. This site is monitored to ensure that peers refrain from using names, locations or anything that would hinder the anonymity of others. Your personal information would only be used if there was an emergency.
