Attention Members: *Important Notice* – Letter Of Understanding – Please see attached notice from Brett Mackenzie – Executive Director of the GPMC/NMC in regards to rolling over of language regarding breaks for long term maintenance. Effective January 1, 2021 there will be a twelve (12) month extension to the ten (10) hour day, two half hour (2- ½ ) breaks, one paid and one unpaid as well as an extension to allow for staggered start times. All particulars may be found in the attached Letters of Understanding.

This notice is to inform you, one of Local 488’s signatory contractors lost a portion of work to a non-union contractor (AECOM) at the Shell Scotford site.
SEC. 195. (a) of our constitution states ‘A member shall not perform any work for any contractor whose business performs work that comes
within the work jurisdiction of the United Association/ if that employer is not a party to a collective bargaining agreement entered into either by
a UA Local Union or the United Association.’
I will repeat, members who work for non-union employers are subject to disciplinary action.
