ONLINE OUT OF WORK FORM SUBMISSION RULES!  PLEASE REVIEW CAREFULLY!

  1. Members using the online system must utilize the prescribed form and complete it in its entirety.
  1. Forms submitted online to the Local Union Office MUST be on a single member basis and MUST be sent from www.local488.ca.  Forms containing more than one (1) member’s name WILL NOT be accepted.
  1. Any online form submitted & received that is time dated earlier than the actual quitting or layoff time for that particular project will NOT be accepted.
  1. All online form submissions received up until 12:00 midnight of a regular workday (Monday-Thursday) will be posted in the order received as at 3:00 pm on the following regular workday (excluding statutory holidays).  All online form submissions received between 12:01 am Friday to 12:00 midnight on Sunday will be posted in the order received as at 3:00 pm on the following Monday.  Should Monday be a statutory holiday, the postings will take place on the Tuesday at 3:00 pm.
  1. Where any discrepancy may occur between the 3:00 pm to 4:00 pm posting time, those members physically signing the ‘Out-of-Work’ Book shall be given preference of order on the ‘Out-of-Work’ Board.
  1. This online reporting system is available to all members of Local Union 488.
